I just heard Hwy 59 by the interstate has power restored. I know they had a lot of trucks on 1088 and Soult

The parish has alot of personnel at Koop drive and FHS is a staging area for support crews...that area is usually one of the first to come back online

My nephew in Slidell said they were on the same grid as a hospital, so theirs would be back on fast. The neighbors that stayed behind told him the houses on the other side of the street, and the hospital, had theirs back on, but not his side of the street. He's pissed at the realtor that told him the hospital grid story when he bought the house in June. He went back with a generator, gas and groceries in my dad's truck.

ETA: He's somewhere off of Gause. I haven't been down to know where exactly.

I don't expect mine to be on tomorrow, but driving around Mandeville I could see almost zero damage to the lines around west Causeway approach and along 22.

I was shocked how bad old Mandeville was.

LA 59 from 12 to the intersection at 1088 was pretty clear too. A few trees still being removed as of a few hours ago, but I wouldn't be surprised if Sharp and Lonesome had power tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm not trying to be overly optimistic but the infrastructure seemed to be in pretty good shape in most places, except old Mandeville.

I went back in to my house on 1077 today south of 12. The lines along the 21 and 1077 below I 12 are savagely mangled. Contractor bucket trucks were running up and down the road assessing the damage . They will be on it tomorrow putting them back together. It looked they they will have tp replace every pole I seen.. I can’t imagine the damage on the side roads .

That’s good to hear. I’m not far from there. Off 190 near Home Depot...I’m hoping to have power back by tomorrow
