while not also thinking that there are some bad popo out there?

There are bad folks everywhere. The number of deaths by da popo, black, white, green, etc., all added up isn't even worth bringing up in a discussion such as this. If that is so important to some one they should consider starting a thread about unethical LEO.

Meh. We're not saying anything that much different. That is unless you are saying it doesn't happen at all in the white community. My only point is it shouldn't be tolerated at all, regardless of the race or the profession.

Oh no, I'd never say it don't happen. In fact I'm surprised that shootings by the popo is as low as the stats indicate. We have already covered the need for more $s to attract a higher level of individuals to that profession. As it stands the total package appeals to a lot of thugs that see an attraction to that line of work. Believe me, I know them well, both good and ... not so much.
I'm no bootlicker but I tend not to be very condemning because they are all we have at the moment and it ain't no walk in the park to be them. I trust bet verify.

That's kinda getting old now. They forgot to mention that none of the belts were stolen. Maybe point out that no job applications were taken from the office??

so according to cnn, just because your X-ray comes back negative for a broken eye socket it proves that there wasn't a "scuffle"....these people are complete hacks.

However, you shouldn't have to be nervous around the police, unless you're doing something you know is illegal, IMHO

Or if you're mentally ill or if you're holding a BB gun or if you have PTSD or if you're a dog.

Police are going to have to deal with the reality of where we're at in this country. It simply won't do anymore to pretend like there's not an issue. I would prefer to have police deal with it on their end than have the Marxist radicals take on the change. They're itching to exploit the situation.

Frick the police?

Heart disease is the number one killer of people. ALS doesn't matter.

Keep trying to reframe the argument. Avoid dealing with the issue as much as possible.

I really would like to know more about your dealings with LEO. I've been around a lot of them and seen a lot, both good and bad. I've even had to go to court against one .. and yet I can't muster up the mistrust for them that you have.

I fail to see how this is relevant. Are we supposed to shoot popo in equal numbers just to keep it fair?

No. But if only 400 or 600 people being shot is good and only 50 police being shot is better. 50 is probably a pretty accurate number of police will die in the line of duty due to a felony. So if I'm not supposed to be scared police based on them only shooting 400 or 600 people, then police have nothing to fear from civilians who only kill about 50 of them every year.

Me either. If I had to deal with the criminals they deal with all the time I can't imagine how I would feel. Normal everyday working people don't have the type of interactions with the dredges of society like LEO. Just watching a few episodes of cops back in the day i think WTF was that thug pos thinking...see that crap day in day out and I bet most people would take the attitude of not under estimating anyone.

but that 4-600 is based on 200+ million civilians...how many LEO's are there in the US?

how many of the 4-600 criminals were killed by police during a felony?

what other profession loses 50 people a year?

How many of the ~320 million in the US population come into contact with police on a daily basis? How many citizens do you supposed the average cop on the street has contact with daily?

Personally, I haven't had an on-duty LEO speak to me since the SF/Baltimore Super Bowl - and I initiated the conversation. I'd venture to say that the average street cop has to deal with at least a few assholes every day on patrol.

What does any of this have to do with a policeman being killed in the line of duty?

I don't think a viscous salmon took out a fisherman lately.
