Just because the cops don't have a video, doesn't make it and less true that he was defending himself from a thug.

Yes he is. He has turned a topic that could be an important one, into a joke. People don't take any of this serious anymore after so many of these type situations are over, they look more racist than anyone. How can you not be racist when you are saying a man that might have been doing his job correctly (because we don't know for sure yet) should be sent to prison for life? How can you wish that on someone, especially someone who if this turns out to be in the cops favor, was at work trying to support his family vs. a thug causing trouble. That is what is unexceptable to me.
Color should not have been an issue, but they keep playing the race card at times that only exposes their racism.

they should have released it long ago to put an end to not just the rioting but the whole grand jury proceeding.

There is absolutely nothing that they can show anybody after Sunday that would change the opinions that formed.

And I don't think MB is holding anything video wise... they played their witness cards throughout the week.

here's what I can't figure out: if the cop had the shite beat out of him, why not show pictures of that immediately. Nobody riots if you show that Brown beat up the cop before getting shot. It becomes obvious that it was self-defense. Makes zero sense to hold onto this for a week and let riots occur.

I doubt there are videos. whichever side the video supports would have released it already.

Everything that they do is calculated. It's always released at a certain time for a specific reason. Isn't it convenient that all of this is happening following the border crisis, Rick Perry being indicted, etc etc

Seems like a bad idea for us, law-abiding or not, to encourage cops to shoot people whether or not they are charging. If it has to be done, then so be it, but let's not cheerlead any of it.
Cops don't need any encouragement to shoot unarmed people.

It is pretty surprising that no one caught anything on private cell phone video. My cop friends are always so aware of the fact that anything they do can immediately be spread like wildfire. Then again, would the police confiscate that footage until they conclude their own internal investigation? I'm no legal expert outside of Criminal Minds and Law and Order: SVU

Anyone heard of rumors about protest happening in other cities today?

My wife's boss just got a call from their corporate office saying that protests are going to be happening in major cities throughout the country, including in NOLA at Lafayette Square.

Hoyt - I feel for you, brah - the main advantage to being white, I feel, is that we're not ALWAYS lumped together - although this incident kind of does that.

But, all the hardworking, middle class black folks have to get tired of seeing this crap - "So, we're all supposed to be rioters and looters, now? 'We' have to be calmed down like children?"

I'd be pretty pissed off, too.

In 2012, the last stats available from the FBI there were about 12 million arrests in the U.S.A. That averages out to 34,000 arrests per day. In 99.9 percent of those cases, the perpetrator was not killed by police. In fact, just over 400 fatal police shootings a year are recorded in this country, according to the FBI.

So let me restate -- 12 million arrests a year, 400 fatal shootings, many of them justified. And Al Sharpton has the nerve to insult the American police community, men and women risking their lives to protect us. This charlatan has the gall to do that and NBC News is paying him.

The truth is that 91 percent of black homicide victims are killed by other blacks -- 91 percent. Yet, that woman tries to mislead folks by accusing American law enforcement of shooting down young black men in the streets

Watching Dorian's lawyer try to spin spin spin on CNN....

He's the former Mayor of St. Louis. He has a lot of experience with spin.

I honestly don't look for any more new, major witnesses, details or videos to come out. If anyone connected with Sharpton or the Brown family had it, it would have been leaked already. If the police or the prosecution has anything, it won't come out until after the grand jury delivers a result.

I do expect that some groups will try to stage more protests around the country, and that Monday may be a bad day, after the funeral.

It's so unfortunate that these "leaders" like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Freeman Bosley, etc can't see how all this mess only hurts their cause in the long run. They are doing such a disservice to the people they claim to want to help.

Normally the left would be all over this. Ferguson is just the bigger story right now. I don't see any conspiracy possibilities with that one. Unless it's from the far right.
