Fact. On a federal level also
1) Helps with agenda for militarization of police.
2) Got the focus off Iraq
3) Also distracting from border crisis. I guess all those poor starving kids aren't so important anymore.

Theres money to be made here. Maybe investing in teargas, rubber bullet, and milk manufacturing companies?

More like an idea propped up by people who will use the real timeline to claim racism.

Edit: I am awfully cynical today.

I thought they said they will start the case today (i guess bring it to the GJ's attention) and will continue at a later date when the evidence is available.

Me too. Once football starts no one will give a shite anymore and this will fade into occupy wall street territory. It was there, but more as a sideshow. Hell, the OWS guys might still be out there for all I know.

the grand jury used is hearing multiple cases, today he will start with this case, and he thinks it could go through mid october.

says they want to see a complete end to that and the fact that any evidence is being presented within 10-12 days of the death is sooner than it wouldve likely occurred,

It looks like it is starting today from medics post. I misread I guess. My apologies.

McCulloch says timeline is mid-October for presentation of evidence to grand jury in #MikeBrown case. Want jury to have everything possible.

This was one of the post I got that from, but I think he correct that later stating it would begin today and continue through then. Someone want to verify of clear this up?

Thanks PBP

I heard these stats this morning and thought I woudl post since there has been some discussion about where the instigators are from.

LINK

quote:

78 arrests, just three of them here from the town of Ferguson.” Harrigan added that there were “a lot from Missouri, but some came from as far away as California and New York.” And that there are “some concerns from police that rioters are using the demonstrations as a cover, a cover to launch some attacks against police.”

Yeah I know, which is why I was wondering why the frick they were claiming they were going to start this morning.

I would think that you have ALL of the info compiled, convene the grand jury, and throw it all out on the table at once. Not slow feed it over 2 months.

No shite. And others are using the protests for a reason to loot (steal from their neighbors). The people looting and acting violent don't give two shits about Brown. Very sad, but glad the peaceful protesters are starting to shove the hooligans to the side.

seems like the logical way to do things...maybe trying to appease the protesters by getting started?

Yeah, probably....

I'd bet the plan is to start it to shut them up and then figure by the time the decision comes out in 2 months to not indict, that it will almost be forgotten.
