I already said that was a joke. Catch up a little boy more.

I think that is the broad self-defense standard - but "threat is eliminated" doesn't necessarily mean dead. You cannot, for example, deliver a coup de grâce to a still living, yet incapacitated assailant, no matter how justified you were in firing, initially.
Understood. However, six/seven shots is not an unreasonable number of rounds to accomplish either goal, especially in a situation where there's a struggle or dynamic targets. I don't know if it's the case, but if there was a big guy coming at me looking to kill/disarm, I'd personally think six shots would be a minimum number of shots to eliminate the threat.
Again, fluid situation and I know no details, but six/seven shots is not an unreasonable number of shots to eliminate a threat or potentially kill the target.
ETA: I'd have a little bit of a more difficult time if he'd shot thirteen times, for example.

I feel the cop may have been justified in shooting but maybe made the wrong decision in trying to make an arrest on his own
I'm trying not to prejudge things, but I'm starting to get that Zimmerman/Trayvon feeling - as the facts keep rolling out, it looks worse and worse for the media's initial sell of the story: "Cop executes unarmed black teen - for no good reason" (hint, hint, "Racism!") - to more like the, "Okay, perhaps this cop shouldn't have tried to take this giant of a young man in alone, but once battle was joined, I don't know if I would have/could have done things differently."
Just as I turned from being a relative supporter for pursuing Zimmerman, criminally, to a reluctant supporter of the poor judgment using, but ultimately justified in shooting Trayvon Martin, Zimmerman.

No it isn't. 4 cops tased an 8-year old girl some time back. That is ridiculous.
Agreed but, many department policy states that you use a taser before you go hands on. If they violated this policy and something went wrong ( kid jerks away and runs into traffic and is killed) these officers are not protected because they violated policy. It's a shitty situation but its the way it is.

My god the scenes from last night looked like something for IRAQI.

No. Just no

The point is that firing six shots rapidly doesnt take but two seconds.
I don't disagree with that. That doesn't change the fact that - at some point - the shooting could have changed from justified to unjustified. It will all depend on the facts.

They just played the audio and I missed it the first time I heard it, but she states that Brown fell about 3 feet from Darren Wilson... So if he was running at Wilson, the final shot happened about 10ft away.

I'm not a rah rah cop guy, but when we're talking about a difference of maybe a second between the first shots being justified and the last shots being unjustified, I'm siding with the shooter/officer 100% of the time.

Relax igorina. He doesn't know which bullets actually hit him and which ones didn't. I am sure those specific details were weeded out in his interview with LE.

If he was a threat when it started no, it doesnt. There is no time to fire and see if that did the trick, then fire again.
In this hypothetical if he was a threat before the 2 sec 6-7 round burst nothing would change in my opinion.
Justified

Lemon is emotionally invested. He is worthless at this point.

1 second is a long time in combat.

At least 10 ft I would guess and if so residue wouldn't be a factor. Key word here is guess. They will know

He he charged a cop with his gun drawn he had to be on some major drug. Tox screen will be critical.

Yep. I don't foresee a time where each shot will be analyzed for justification unless there was a break between shots or there is a political/public relations motivation.
