Getting back, I'm surprised the police department hasn't tried to release more details about the particulars of the case.
What I got was that from one side, the guy was 25 feet from the car with no weapon when shot.
From another I got he was reaching for a gun in the car.
I need to look into more. I'm just going from heresay from people I talked to about this.

They explained their reasoning, which is normal. They won't release particulars cause they want to be able to validate witness statements. If they get a witness, whose statement doesn't match with physical evidence, they can weed it out to see the validity. Smart move.

eta: Medic beat me to it.
We heard some witnesses were difficult to find or per their lawyer, postponing their interviews. They are holding it up I would think at this point because of fear they would be lying and just repeat what police reveal. Funny the ones "protesting" about the slow process are the ones slowing it down.

Interesting they wouldn't respond to police, but were paraded around on MSNBC all day. Then once one witness came out, magically more witnesses came out of nowhere. I wonder how different their stories were..

Medic - I've only read your posts to try to catch up. Was the Derrick name the media mentioned to the Chief ever proven useless like everything else or does that still stand as possibly valid? TIA

I do think this stuff gets blown out the water, but there is a very real issue with police accountability at the same time there are becoming more paramilitary.
