Many were rightly upset a small fire had been set near this church last night. Thankfully the fire was put out with little no damage.

But apparently the WH didn’t clear the photo op today with the church. Worse, members of the clergy there who were assisting medic teams were tear gassed and driven off the church’s property. Are we okay with this?

The fire was in the nursery in the basement, not "near it".

And yes, I'm perfectly fine with it.

It was just a "small fire" NBD

Just a small amount of businesses, homes, and lives destroyed during this but OMB because they cleared out the area around the White House from the same assholes that are running over cops and shite. Also NBD

Thanks for confirming.

No one should be but tons here will argue that it's perfectly fine. That picture is worth the risk and the Clergy can just shut their whore mouths.

Those people left out the fact that they were asked/told to leave by the Secret Service but didnt listen THEN they were forced to move.

I’ve been caught up in POTUS and VP motorcades before and a SS agent will literally jump out of nowhere and stop you to set up a perimeter. You just sit there for 30-60 minutes while the POTUS or VP does his thing. I didn’t fight them bc I’m not a moron and I realize they need protection wherever they go and aren’t ordinary citizens.

it’s pretty disgusting you’re more upset by a speech by the president than someone lighting a church on fire. pathetic

They cleared it with the church. Rev. Robert Fisher said so on Fox this evening when he was interviewed.

Does the church typically block people from taking a photo outside of the church?

Hmmmm...seems like something they would have notified other priests of if so.

I don’t know, but I bet they don’t tear gas the priests to get their asses of of it for the photos if they do.

Normally.

I thought it was beautiful the way they got rid of that crowd. We need more of that
