I really doubt she’d mess up her marriage and career for that.

Did she run away to Italy with a student?

Major was hired as principal at St. John’s in May 2025 after serving as principal at Port Allen Middle School. The school celebrated her appointment in a social media post calling her “a highly respected and accomplished educator.”
So she’s been there less than six months
I’m going to go with either “not a good fit” or “pissed off the wrong family” or “insubordination to pastor”

Discovering that a Catholic school principal is committing a public sin like living with a girlfriend or boyfriend will produce this type of reaction from a pastor.
Bitch please our choir director was openly gay for years.
Say what you want about small town conservatives, one of us is one of us....regardless of whether everyone agreed with his choices or not.
If I had to guess, she said something she shouldn't have expecting support and found she was on an island alone.
Funny how her likely replacement still has her facebook photo up with the former principle in it.
That tells you it wasn't a real scandal. Also... Father cleo wouldnt engage in this priest's foolishness. He'd have a few martinis and go about his day.

Better than the rumors floating around about Hamilton Christian Academy in LCH. That one’s a doozie.

There's a lot of possibilities here.
Some priests have a pretty high view of themselves. The best interest of the parish school isn't always their top priority.
Honestly, the Diocese should remove the schools from under the pastor's umbrella. That would be one of the smartest things it could do.

A similar event happened in a wealthy parish (Probably highest average home value in state) in New Orleans a few years ago. Turns out it was a personality thing and the principal simply had different ideas.. The priest insinuated morality issues. He claimed he had SEVERAL families agree. That turned out to be TWO. There must have been no issues because the principal was immediately hired by another area Archdiocese school. This same priest once took school money raised for a playground to pay for the AC for the church.
Priests SHOULD NOT have this type of unfettered and arrogant authority over the school.

Something similar happened recently at Parkview Baptist. Was kept quiet for a while and then it finally came out the female principal was sleeping with a male teacher whose wife was also a teacher there.

Similar thing happened at St John Primary in Prairieville a couple years ago. Principal in his first year was very quickly let go. I still haven't heard an explanation as to what happened.

I’m a long ago grad from there. That place went downhill fast after the nuns were removed, fwiw
