I'm surprised this thread is still going tbh. I think St Catherine's is the best choice and don't think it's really that close. Didn't go there so I'm not biased either.

On the surface SCS seems better but once I got to know the inner workings of the school its eye opening. SFX may not have the money backing it and the ridiculous enrollment numbers but I find the faculty is much better and it's way more of a family atmosphere vs the "elites" of St Catherines

The vibe at St. Matthews was just a little run down. The class size is tiny as well. From what I gathered, St. Matthew was better, and about 5-10 years ago there was a shift to St. Rita

I am sure St. Mathew is fine, but I went to the fair and it just seemed cheap and run down

Tuition is only 5k so it does not qualify in any way as an "Elite" institution.

So how strict are the school's admission criteria in regards to the parents going to church? That's one thing I'm not looking forward to

Their opinion is consistent with many other posters and people IRL.

Church attendance is not an issue at most schools.

Does St. Catherine use block class schedule or do the traditional standard schedule?

Mate, it's been that way for 30 years. St Rita has always been a step above. Great school

I'd send my kids to John Curtis before SMA
