I think the appeal of his show was to see people who buck the mainstream narrative that's jammed down people's throats 24/7. Making a "balanced" show isn't very intriguing.

1. Spotify 100% knew the content on these shows before closing any deal with Rogan so they obviously didn’t think it a big enough deal at the time to not move forward.

2. Joe is dumb for removing these because now people can’t go back and hear the context of these conversations and what was said and why. Just looks like he’s an old racist now.

I wonder how long until they start pulling his episodes with Shane Gillis. I mean, he did say all dogs go to heaven because they attack (J words?)

Well, the point is that we're all more than aware of where "the other side" stands, i.e. corporate media, mainstream narrative, pc culture, academia, corporate advertising. He brings on a lot people that push back or question it. I think that's why his show has so much appeal. Most normal people see the world like he does, so when he has people on that act like most normal people and they question things, it make it a relatable show.

A. They got 100 million?

B. They’re throwing around 100 million, there will be censorship eventually. The whole point of censorship is do what we say or you’ll lose a lot. You can only avoid it if you have nothing to lose

There are some big money players behind the company.

The point of their platform is lack of censorship.

sure and kudos for him for that

but it would be nice just for him to have someone on that challenges his own, and maybe his audiences views, in a very scientific and honest way

its not like all of his guests are "the other side", he has plenty of lame guests

Whatever the Spotify CEO chooses to do or not do is fine with me… Just, whatever he does- dont think for one second ANY of it is about principles or morality.. It is 100% about $$, and that’s it .

For everyone involved, it's not about principles or morality. Where things are at now for Spotify and Joe, it is 100% about money. For all the artists with threats of removing content, it is about virtue signaling.

In other words I paid Joe 100 million and if I cancel him I look like a fool and get fired.

I have a feeling he's going to lose some listeners because of this and if he creates his show around having to prevent their deletion, then he'll be in the toilet pretty quickly

I don't think he will. I believe the attention will drive more people to his show to find out what all the fuss is about. He may take a more balanced approach to guests in an effort to appease some folks.

The Australian "journalist" Josh Szeps did exactly what you're wanting.

I have a feeling that you won't be satisfied until he has some sort of boring debate stage type show which will be balanced and boring as frick

Josh Szeps.

The left criticizes anyone on “their side” from going on because it “gives him a platform.”

The reality is it’s hard for them to defend their positions because so much of it is group think and feel based opinions.

They don’t want any part of a 3 hour long form conversation. It would expose them too much to their hypocrisy.

I don't want some guy who cofounded HuffPo live as "balance"
