Sports are done forever.

The threat of somebody getting sick at a game and taking down the entire system is all too real now.

Title is wishful thinking as that doesn’t give any info either way. I sure hope sports are back soon though.

Man I’ve seen some very dumb single issues that people decide elections on. This is one of them.

You sure NBA doesn't need permission from Xi to attend this meeting?

No he didn’t. He extended the guidelines to stop the spread. He’s leaving the stay at home orders up to state and local authorities.

I’ll take Trumps decision over any wackjob liberal anyday.

Don’t get me wrong...I don’t think any politician is is remotely qualified to make that decision.

This could easily go the other way entirely

While it’s unclear what actually happened during the call between @realDonaldTrump and pro sports commissioners including Roger Goodell, my understanding is going in, the plan was to discuss charitable contributions and how the leagues would help those dealing with coronavirus.

Sports is the only thing I would vote for someone for "the wrong reasons". I know a lot of people base their decision to vote on someone over some silly shite and I complain about those people.. But if Trump can get the football season to go on uninterrupted I would vote for him. But to be fair, IF I decide to vote this time I would likely vote for him anyway considering my other option would be either Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders...

Only ones that matter.

The rest can stay closed foreverrrrr

They're probably one of the least affected as far as TV and likely one of the last to resume...I don't think they're back before next February in Daytona. They've done a good job with the iRacing broadcasts so at least the names (and more importantly sponsors) are out there.

Baseball has only 80ish people around in an empty stadium. Football has under 200. NASCAR has 43 drivers & on the conservative side at least 10 in their pit area. Add in track personnel and spotters. That's at least 450.

There's talk of a 15 minute test. Sports won't return until when it gets to the point where its available widely without shortage. Everyone gets tested. There's talk of the NFL using those tests and then quarantining the teams in a few places while they play. NASCAR could probably run their schedule while testing every week with positive tests forcing that team to be parked.

Sports as we knew them aren't coming back anytime soon... stadiums won't be filled until MLB in 2022 (if we're lucky.)
