Absolutely pathetic. Can’t buy a beer after the 7th inning or 3rd quarter because its too close to the the time to leave?

Yet I can stop at a bar or restaurant and pound as many as I’d like after. Absolutely ridiculous.

Maybe not.

But protecting your company/business/entity from over-serving lawsuits after some drunk a-hole drives head on into another car and kills someone is American.

How many restaurants or bars has this happened to? Why would 30 more minutes of alcohol sales change that?

it’s not laws, it’s rules set by private establishments which is perfectly acceptable

So cut those people off like any bar does. They could just as easily arrive hammered and drink innings 1-6

I read posts like this and then scroll down and see a multi page thread with a bunch of OTers distraught over a convict getting chewed up by bed bugs.
This place is weird.

Except I drink once a month.

This was thread was prompted by some MLB teams extended beer sales to 8th inning due to the increased pace of play.

It’s ridiculous to have a cut off as is

Then they get their friend to go get it. Someone probably sued one of these teams anyways

But not being able to handle your alcohol & doing dumb shite because of it IS 100% AMERICAN. And that’s why we can’t have nice things

The problem with every restriction on freedom is the irresponsible idiots that make it so the rest of us can’t have nice things. If we has a society can’t produce responsible citizens more and more of our freedoms will be restricted.

Drinking and driving is an epidemic in this country, and hardly anyone takes it seriously enough .

Wait til you or someone you love gets wiped out by a drunk driver, maimed or killed- then come talk to me.. Til then, sit down and shut the frick up .

It’s more about closing up shop so people actually go home.
It’s nothing personal brother.
If they sold all the way till the end it would be a cluster.

I’ve always thought this rule works against itself.

It basically turns things into a binge drinking contest for a lot of the beer drinkers.

Heck I bet you could study it and find out it causes drunker people to leave the game when it’s over. They may have just had one more beer during the fourth quarter, but now, just in case, you see a lot of people pound their two at the end of the third, and then go grab two more and have the people they’re with grab two more, etc.
