With the Confederate Memorial Hall Museum being in New Orleans. Why would it be difficult for them to do something with them there?
The building is in a good spot right off Lee circle but not quite large enough. It would need an outdoor enclosure to house it correctly. The Southern Art is next door and you could maybe fit there. You could convert parking lot across but then $$$ would have to be spent to make them not visible. It also is too close to the amazing WWII Museum.
I know no one wants to give them to MS but they have some extensive spots to place them. I'll be damned though if I would give the Lee statue to VA.

Someone was bothered enough to go through trouble of taking them down.

SPLC is a fricking joke and only idiots take them seriously. Nothing by far left propagandists and race baiters.

I have not heard a peep about the statues in over a year.
The city has been taking care of former lee circle though. The transient homeless guys sleeping really make the azalea bushes point out.

They may be a joke but I bet they have a lower BMI and blood pressure than you do.

Also, the idea of moving them to another state seems like a fishy idea. I highly doubt MS,TN,AL or GA want that kind of public spotlight.
Have you seen Mississippi's state flag? Haha

To her credit, it sounds like she wants the issue to go away rather than demagogue it as some of the factions are trying to do.

I hope they can find their sense of shame, and let the dead rest.

That has no bearing on the concept that anyone who is bothered by a statue is emotionally and mentally weak.

They should crumble the statues and let the whining on both sides come to an end.
The people existed, history happened, be done with it.

No one besides people who live in cities with statues even knew the statues existed until people started pretending the statues affected them.

My appreciation for your psychoanalysis can not possibly be understated. Since you lack the mental fortitude to discern the difference between a pile of rock and the power of symbolism, I will provide you much needed assistance. These statues celebrate and hold in high regard, traitorous renegades of a failed ideology from 150 years ago. That ideology was that their individual prosperity was reliant upon the enslavement of a people that were perceived as less than human, because of the color of their skin. Only the truly mental and emotionally deranged would consider these people worthy of idolatry. Or in terms you can understand "rock is good" "rock like confed soldier bad" Happy to help!

That one guy offered a million bucks to put them on his plantation. WTF is wrong with that?

Scruffy sees someone bothered by statues.

If you don’t live in the city your opinion doesn’t matter.
