Yeah you can hate on politics all you want....Cali still offers a pretty wide variety of beautiful scenery to make any person happy. Name another state that offers that much variety in scenery?

Mississippi is the most politically corrupt state in the country.

LITERALLY....LITERALLY, the Attorney General election here a month ago came down to "Who could protect your religious liberties from Obama." I'm not fricking kidding you.

We hate the federal government and want small government but we are #1 in federal dependency.

ETA: My point is the people in this state are mostly retarded.

i actually know you live in BR.

I just don't like LA. I like central coast wine country, I like the Sierra Nevadas, I like Santa Barbara. The Channel Islands are cool, I enjoyed San Diego when I was young... I just don't care for LA.

If I'm going to California, hopefully the only time I spend in LA is to and from the airport.

I mean, fair enough. But I always have fun in LA, of course, I have a bunch of friends that live in the area. I prefer san diego and san fran, but LA is a lot of fun.

The difference in trashiness when you cross from California to Nevada in Tahoe is insane.....like two different places

Driving to Tahoe from AZ you can either go the CA way or the NV way. We tried both....never again will we go the NV way. Boring, depressing drive(cept for driving through Vegas).

It's pretty obvious where the stateline is in South Lake Tahoe on the main road that goes around the lake....there is literally 2 casinos the second you step into Nevada(could be part of the trashiness of the NV side)

I used to have family in Oxnard... that area was great, especially heading north from there up 101. They live in Santa Monica now, haven't visited since they moved.

I know. I lived in Ocean Springs/Biloxi for two years (work, and lived out of a hotel). But those barrier islands provide amazing fishing, and pulls it ahead of the shitastic mid American states. But yes, every thing north of I-10 blows.

Oregon and Washington

They have beaches...but not the warmer climate and beaches that you find in southern California. Also...they don't have deserts like California does(and some of those can be pretty scenery as well).

CA has warmer climate beaches, deserts, redwood forests, mountains, pacific northwest climate beaches, etc.

I can't believe we're four pages on and I'm the only person mentioning West Texas. It is, literally, a shite show.

Southern NM is worse but few have probably been. Northern NM is awesome.

LOL at the Cali/NY haters

I still think Illinois & N.Dakota beats it (Friend of mine had to live Minot for 8 months. Looked horrible.)

This thread has been done time and time again. A number of the folks who say "California" have openly admitted that they never have been there.

I lived there and I hate it. I will never go back.

If you enjoy sitting in traffic for hours every day, overcrowdedness, illegals and people who dont speak english everywhere, overpaying for everything, and taxation out the arse, California is for you.

I stand corrected then

And I love the Pacific Northwest, got a small taste of it when I visited northern CA....would love to visit Oregon and Washington. Someone on my fb just moved to Washington and the pics she has been posting are gorgeous.
