Roaches are pretty harmless. Most spiders can't really do that much damage to you. Some snakes can kill you in less than an hour. I'll go with some particularly venomous or large snakes.

While I don't fear them, spiders are less noticeable and can bite when not expected. Black widows in a woodpile, Recluses in an attic.

Growing up in Louisiana seeing a snake and hauling arse the other way I could deal with but running into a spider Web and not knowing where that spider is Scared the shite out of me.

I freaking hate spiders, but I would likely freak out more if I came across a snake.
Roaches....gross, but overall harmless. Do not get why people are scared of roaches.

That's how I found this one. Just running through the yard with the dogs and came face to face with him. Thankfully stopped before running through him and the web.

Would rather deal with a tub full of spiders or snakes than with roaches.

My mom feared them roaches with wings. She would see one on the wall and freeze up. I think she had one fly in her hair one time. My dad would whip off his church shoe and go super ninja when he saw one because he knew my mom flip out if she saw it.

I noticed a spider made a web on the ceiling at one of the corners in my bathroom. I let him stay. He sat that for over 2 weeks straight. No telling how many bugs he removed from my house
