I've been pulled over for speeding twice, a passenger in a vehicle pulled over three times, and one bullshite wrong-way county ticket from the a-hole campus rent-a-cops.

Kind of funny story on the second speeding stop. I was pulled over with booze in the trunk after getting clocked at 70 in a 55. I literally looked down, noticed I was going too fast, and he lit me up the second I let up on the gas. So around 10pm, temperature around 10, and the cop slipped up volunteering that he had just moved from Florida...said he'd have given me a warning if I had asked.

I then decided to initiate a conversation (as my car's heat was on full blast) and made the guy stand out there for nearly 15 minutes. I then wrote and delayed the court date, the 2nd time I was in Starkville (and prosecutor refused to bump down to 1-5 over) so I sent in a letter so it would arrive the day before, and then went to the bank, got 13000 pennies, and unwrapped them into several bags. They got pissed when I told them why I did it that way but pennies are legal tender. Laughed my way all the way to the car. Between the cop having to be scheduled to show up in court twice and the clerk having to count pennies for hours, they may have lost money on that ticket. He should've just game me a warning.

You think you are the first person to think of this? It didn't happen to the person that told you or to you.

And no, they legally do not have to accept your payment in pennies.

One time. The officer gave me a stern talking-to about the kilo of cocaine and dead hooker in my trunk. He let me off with a warning and sent me on my way.

It’s such a dumb story that it might be real.

18 years old first time stopped for speeding in Sorrento and got a ticket. FIL had the ticket taken care of with the help of the local DA.
Stopped 6-8 times after that over 40 years and never received a ticket. Always initiated a polite conversation with the officer / trooper asked for a break and received it each time.
Always followed their requests when asked, said yes sir and no sir, had my DL, insurance and registration easily available. Told them I had weapons in the vehicle prior to reaching for anything.
Never an issue and I survived each encounter.
It’s not rocket science to survive an encounter with a cop.
And in every instance I had broken the law by speeding.

I found myself in a similar situation, doing 70 in a 55 in a light rain, and really didn’t notice because I was driving on smooth, fresh laid pavement. I did realize my error when I passed two trooper units sitting side by side in the neutral ground of the highway and immediately began slowing down and pulling over because I knew I was toast. The trooper facing oncoming traffic flipped his lights on and proceeded to pull a Dukes of Hazzard peel out u-ey after me and almost fishtailed it back in the neutral ground. I watched this all in the rearview as I came to a stop. I was going to congratulate him on his recovery, because I figured I was going to get a ticket anyway, so why not be a smartass, but he was raging pissed when he walked up because he almost wiped out in front of his homie.

my ole lady got pulled over in porte barre last year. cop made her get out of the car so he could look around. when she got home she asked me if i knew where this key fob had come from. about midnight her phone starts ringing and it's the cop asking her to meet up with him so that he could get his key that he conveniently dropped in her vehicle. he got rude when she told him that his key was in the bayou teche.

I had a game warden turn my campsite upside down and then angrily storm off leaving it in disarray when he didn't find anything.

Last year, I was going to work at sunrise via a street that has 3 lanes of traffic going in either direction. An unmarked SUV with no headlamps or emergency lights came up from behind at approximately 70 mph in a 45 mph zone, swerving from lane to lane without turn signals. The vehicle blew by me and then made a U-turn about 1/4 mile ahead and drove back towards me. As he and I were passing each other, I honked my horn and gave him a thumbs down. The guy whipped another U-turn and finally turned on his emergency lights hidden behind his grill.

He asked if there was an emergency and I told him he was a loose cannon and drove like a maniac, he wasn’t above the law, I was going to file a complaint on him, etc. He said that he was trying to catch a speeder and using his lights tips them off and they duck into the neighborhoods off this road. He said that he pulled me over for excessive use of the horn.

He ended up giving me a warning and I continued to remind him that he wasn’t above the law and he was a disgrace as he walked back to his vehicle. He stopped and turned but then turned again, got in his vehicle and drove away.

The officer is black and I am white, if that matters.

more like about 90 lbs

Pennies weigh about 3.11 grams each. 3.11*13000=40430 grams. 40430*0.00220462= ~89 pounds.

Based off your math, 19 pennies would equal a pound.

Plenty. Hell. Got me a dui.

One time though I should have gotten a dui. Leaving Bachus. Car full of Metairie broskis. I took palmetto to met rd. To some other street that’s escaping me to the end of west Napoleon. Used to be one of my go to ways to avoid traffic. Right there on west Napoleon before causeway is a stop sign for traffic crossing the street. This white crown Vic proceeds to blow right through. Nearly hitting me. I hit the horn. My buddy in the back seat is throwing one finger victory salutes and cursing. Drunk cop pulls me over and detains is for a minute, but he didn’t do shite. He was just pissed my buddy told him frick you.
