I've lived in BR for over 30 years. I couldn't even tell you how to get to Southern. I've never been and can't imagine a scenario I would ever need to go.

I once went to a Southern pep rally with a friend the day before a football game. It was an unusual experience to be the only white guy in the crowd.

Yes, several times. Including business offices, some student housing, and a few of the other buildings. (Don't remember names)

Probably every single person at one point has exited I-110 at Hooper Road. I guess 90% of people keep straight to the airport or make a right turn towards Plank and Central.

I started the other thread about a visit. I had been up there while I was in grad school at LSU in the early 90s and remembered it as a bad part of town, but a beautiful location.
I went to one of those park and ride airport parking lots once and asked the guy at the gate if it was safe. He pointed at the towers at the Parish prison and said "See those towers? There are men with machine guns up there. This is the safest lot in the city." I was sold, and for my for years in grad school always felt fine leaving my vehicle parked there when I flew.

Yes, I've been to seminars at their law school. It is a very nice physical facility.

LSU is also surrounded by ghetto with the exception of Highland Rd.

Yes, took a chemistry class there my sophomore year in the summer. It was the on the level of a 8th grade chemistry class. It was a freaking joke. By far the easiest college class I have taken.
