Spinoff: Have You Actually Stepped Foot on Southern's Campus?

The thread about visiting Southern’s campus got me thinking, how many of you who grew up/currently live in BR have not been to Southern’s campus, or have been there more than once or twice?
I went to a pretty diverse High School in the 90s and I remember the first time many of my white teammates stepped on Southern’s campus was for a track meet. Also bonus points for actually going into the interior of campus pass the athletic facilities or Southern Lab.

Yes. It's actually a pretty decent campus. Just in a really shitty part of town.
Been in Mumford, FG Clark, Law Center, among others.

Yep, the campus isn't all that bad. It's just completely out of the way.

Have been on SU campus.
It is neat and the view of the Miss River is something worth seeing.

The picnic tables at the end were my spot.
Dated a girl who lived in the dorms. Got shot with a paintball from the upper level as I was leaving.
Played for LSU at the time, grabbed my 03 shocker out of the car and unleashed hell at the offending window

Many times. Always on the baseball field.

Yes, many times. Their dining people are waaaaaaaaaay better than LSU's. Those Asian spare ribs were in the top 5 of best ribs I've ever eaten.
Some of the buildings are ugly or poorly maintained, but the campus is still very nice and safe. I just wish the quality of education was better. The law school is pretty decent, though, relatively speaking.

oh those Loyola days
after Katrina I worked a Loyola basketball game against SUNO that was played in SUBR's gym (for obvious reasons)

You probably went 0-4 and tripped over the "nipple" that they called a mound!

Currently live and go to school at SU. The buildings are up to par with many other Louisiana institutions.
I have to agree that it's out of the way.

Yep, dated plenty of the sorority girls there. The Reds and AKA's had some of the most beautiful women on either campus.

Went out there to pick up an application with a friend who was thinking about applying to law school. NBD.
