Kappa Sig for men, Dekes were on “double secret probation” in mid ‘80’s

Kappa Delta for girls, Tri Delt’s were cute, but pretty “loose”

I always referred to KAs as "Kan't Adds" and Kappa Sigs as "Kan't Spells"
Also, "If you can't go Greek, go TKE"

GDI for life.

You forgot PKT.

Yes I did. They didn't carry the prestige of some other fraternities but the ones I knew were great guys.

It is a shame that they are gone. Someone please tell me how a Catholic fraternity could fail at LSU while a Masonic fraternity (Acacia) does okay.

Theta Xi milk/donuts? Not in the mid to late 80’s at LSU. Nope. Not a single person who was there during that time agrees with you.

Which is full of Catholic school boys. Little secret - not a whole lot of masonry going on.

It would help if you told us what college you went to

“Prestige” widely varies from school to school…

Case in point TKE is absolute dog shite at LSU, at other large universities TKE is the best on Campus.

One of them got busted, whether by police or parents, I don’t recall. Turned out Daddy had heavy local/university/chapter connections. There was a lengthy probation period and copious testing of members, many of whom were given the boot. It was a death sentence for that chapter by all accounts.

Many of those guys post here. Hell I’m pretty sure we have a former president poster. Jimmy from the duck camp story too lol.

I was an unpaid groupie but those were some fun times.

ETA: Filling the canon with cement was bullshite too.

I mentioned this because what’s good at one school is sometimes the worst at others.

Bingo. My ex wife was a ZTA at LSU in the 90s. She knew it was a bottom sorority. But when we moved to Dallas in 1999 we were both shocked to find that at schools like TCU, SWT(Texas State now), and Texas the ZTAs were pretty well-respected. Was a real WTF to us coming from LSU.

I was in Delta Tau Delta in the early 70's. It was a great chapter with many smart members who went on to successful careers in law, medicine, business, military etc. About 15 years later not so good and they lost their chapter. I believe tehy were later re-admitted again but got the boot a second time.

We started the Muscular Dystropy charity marathon football game and had several members involved in student government.

We did also have our fun times and great post game parties with bands playing and damn strong interfraternity league athletic teams.
