Have you ever changed it or have someone change it for you?

Just a question as I'm sure most people don't realize their car has one. It is usually a lot more difficult to get to and changed less often, especially if you don't know you have one on your vehicle.

If your car is 2 years old or older, and has never been changed, it probably needs to be changed.

My last one was behind the glove box. It wasn't particularly difficult to change. Haven't changed it in this truck yet but it's only a little over a year old.

If you're vehicle doesn't have a cabin filter you're trashy.

Sincerely,

They’re usually right behind the glove box and are super easy to change. It can make a difference for your A/C too. The last used car I got, it hadn’t been changed apparently in years. It had leaves and stuff in it. Changing it made a noticeable difference.

Yeah, and I didn’t know it till after I had my car for two years. One day I was getting an oil change and the guy showed it to me. Since then i change it every other oilchange. Takes 2 minutes.

Yes. Mine was really easy to change. Four screws to remove the glove box and that's it.

Nope...I heard about cabin air filters and got all excited to change mine. When I researched it, I found out that chevy pickups no longer have them.

I have one and learned exactly how to change it by watching a YouTube video. Easy and much cheaper than what the oil change place wants.

I had one. Pulled it out and three it away when I first purchased my car. It is not in the summer and I like all the airflow my ac can give me.

You spend your entire day walking around breathing the same air that is in your car. Why would you be concerned about clean air just inside your vehicle. Why would the air in your car be dirtier than the air outside?

Signed, Grumpy Old Man.

What year is your Chevy? Silverado 1500 2014 to 2018 definitely has one.

My truck is a 2005. I am glad to hear that they started putting them in again.

Yes and it's a pain to change, but I do it once a year or so.
