Getchu a Columbia fishing shirt and cargo shorts and you’ve got dressy date attire from Lafayette to Mobile.

I haven’t worn long sleeves in the summer ever.

I don’t care what type of shirt it is, I’m not adding extra layers to myself

I wear them fishing. I have some Columbia and the Academy store brand. They really make you feel cooler than wearing a regular shirt and not getting a sunburn is great. I never looked at the SPF but SPF is greatly affected depending on the shirt is wet or dry and often mine are wet.

I love wearing long sleeves for sun protection even in sunny summer. Enlighten me with the purpose of an SPF shirt though??? How does that help me? Just the fact I'm wearing long sleeves protects my arm skin from sun. I don't understand what is beneficial to a shirt with SPF.

I have psoriasis, and the medication tends to make me insanely susceptible to horrendous sunburns. I'm also an idiot who forgets to put on sunblock regularly, so when I'm hiking, climbing, or swimming I tend to wear SPF shirts from Magellan or Columbia. Sure, I look like a doucebag swimming with it on, but damn it beats sunburns and eventual skin cancer all day every day.

f you feel the need to wear a long sleeve shirt to keep sun off your arms, just don’t go in the sun. These dudes wearing these long sleeves look pathetic. Unless you’re working in the sun daily, you don’t have shite to worry about. And if you are afraid of skin cancer…stay out of the sun.

My Dad has terminal cancer and the medication he is on makes him susceptible to dangerous sun burn and other side effects. When he goes to play at the beach or in the front yard with his grandkids, is he pathetic because he is wearing a long sleeve shirt?

People like you who give a shite and judge other people for what they wear are the ones who are pathetic. Mind your own fricking business and worry about how much of a loser you are before you start judging others.

Does a regular shirt actually P from the S, though? I feel like the department of baw science should investigate.

Worst sunburn of my life was through a CCA "performance" long sleeve I got for cheap at academy. Was like the shirt wasn't even there.

Does Columbia make those shirts that aren’t beer gut cut?

A Columbia large is every other brand's XXL.
It's the reason all of the fat baws love them. They think they really wear a large at 275 pounds

I worked construction my first summer out of high school and all the old guys wore long sleeve button down shirts. Way before SPF so I assume it helped

My grandfather was a plant baw by trade but ran a small farm too. He'd wear long sleeves all year long.

How the frick you get a sunburn with a shirt on? Shirt made of saran wrap or what? I have olive skin so I don't burn but once a year but I find it impossible for even a pasty ghost to sunburn if they're wearing long sleeves.
