Tell your girl she can wash everything in a basin like the old days if she doesn’t like it

If you try and lift the lid 5-6 times it should unlock. Unplug it for 3 minutes, replug and wait 30 seconds.

We have a Whirlpool at our deer camp that goes on fritz every now and then. I believe the Speed Queen and Whirlpool are the same.

The one we have just pauses when the lid is opened. You can add clothes whenever but it's not doing anything unless the lid is closed
mine is the same. But it is a 2017 model with no screen. Now i know I have to keep it forever.

We got this one last year but my wife made sure that I got the stripped down model with minimal electronics because the fancier ones are supposed to suck.

Remember the Triumph TR7?
Pretty solid little sports car, IMO.

The earlier Triumphs (TR-4, TR-4A, TR-250) were much better looking than the 7. I'm not going to opine on the reliability of the earlier models.

The one we have locks the lid instantly when you hit the start button and the lid can't be opened again unless you cancel the load & turn off the machine. It's been a complaint my wife has had because she used to start the load, walk around the house gathering up other laundry and dropping them in when the water ran in her old machine.

Can she just eave the lid open and start it? Seems like it should continue to fill and then just pause until the lid is closed.

That was kind of the selling point of the TC5 over the TR series.

The electrics on Triumphs were brought to you by Lord Lucas: Prince of Darkness.

Should have gone with the TC5

That’s what we just bought. Similar to our 25 yo Maytag that recently sprung a leak and was going to be a lot to fix.
