Speed of Light Captured and Recorded using 10 trillion FPS at Cal Institute of Tech

Skip to 11 minutes for highest frame rate. They record light traveling through a 1mm vial of milk. Takes roughly 40 picoseconds.
To put that in perspective - at that frame rate it would would take several years to watch a bullet pass through the same millimeter.

Pretty sure I’ve disappointed my wife in less time than 40 picoseconds. But no one wants to see that at 10 trillion frames per second.

I get that, but the payoff doesn't quite get that across very well.
