Hanta virus comes from rats right?
And that's a $30,000 cruise so that sucks for them.

Correct. The particular strain that was passed around on the ship is transmittable amongst humans.

It can be passed from human to human. There's a chance someone came aboard with it.

Read on the news that there were no rats on that boat. It’s a respiratory virus. Is this the next pandemic?

Leave that thing anchored miles out in the ocean and airdrop or bring them supplies by boat until the virus runs its course.

frick docking it to land, even an island.

I'm not scared of anything, but it's completely reckless to dock a ship with known contaminated passengers to a port where the virus could easily spread. People can be carriers for up to 8 weeks before showing symptoms. Leave those frickers docked out there for at least that long before reintroducing them to society.

We are scared of the response. We don't need everything shut down again.

According to AI, there is only one strain of hantavirus that is contagious - the Andean strain. Since the ship left South America, they think that's what this is.

These cruise ships I am sure are pretty diligent about rats, so the person probably got on board sick already.

What a nightmare to be on that ship

"There is a deadly sickness going around. Y'all are going to have to stay on this boat until it runs it's course. Should be over in a couple months"

8 weeks to flatten the curve. Do your part. Social distance!

Hantavirus does not spread easily between humans. It requires close & prolonged contact and is typically only spread between spouses or close family members. & they wont simply release the passengers into gen. pop. without a lengthy quarantine period.
