What up liz? Beautiful story, but government shouldn't tell people what to do with their lives as long as they are not hurting others who have been out in the world.

So I can do whatever I want to those that haven’t been out in the world?

Doing great.

I believe the government should have very little oversight. It is why we have so many sucking on the government's teat.

However, allowing unborn humans to be killed at the whim of a usually unhinged woman shows the degradation of humanity, especially men, who support this behavior.

Meanwhile, in Iceland...

Seriously though, although the average is in the 60s, some people with Down (not Downs) have an average to nearly gifted IQ...

I can't believe some people in this thread. I mean some of y'all have called her the hard r. I'm not stooping to your level. Down syndrome people are more intelligent than 90 percent of people in this thread.

Ok, so this is what I was wondering, I just couldn't find a place to hop in yet.

I admit my ignorance on the subject, but am also wondering about the direct applicability of the terms retarded and such.

I'm not put off by the term bc I know what is meant, but what is the story here, are Down's folks inherently mentally disabled, or are there some that bear the obvious physical characteristics of Down's but are not mentally disabled?

Someone put me some knowledge if you're so inclined and know what you're talking about, thanks.

FIFY

The question is not if she has Downs Syndrome, the question is how did she wind up in politics?

No offense to this woman but we have officially lost the plot.

The people of Spain elected a clinical mentally disabled person to make decisions on society, the economy, and potentially war.

Think about this in a realistic way, this woman, innocent as she may be in all this, could potentially take part in the decision to send men and women to their deaths in war.

This is a dark day for rationalism, pragmatism, and intelligent societies. I don't find this funny at all.

On the other hand she likely has a higher iq than the current president of the United States and a large chunk of his parties representatives.

Keep in mind Dems have had politicians believe and island could flip over.

And we elected Joe Biden.

Some downs Syndrome people can be quite high functioning, for what it's worth.

I get that, and feel like a shitbag for saying this, but electing someone who's ceiling is "high functioning" only proves my point.

I don't disagree with you on the Joe Biden comment. People are treating government like a reality show. It's not catastrophic at the moment but what is going to happen when hard decisions have to be made?

Might be exactly what we need.
