This is not true. Well not entirely. They won the contract as much as SpaceX won the contract. The final down select to two providers is to occur in April.

SpaceX still has to get the elevator proof of concept working. Maybe it's not a big deal but is an added complication to Starship.

Seems like it's no contest to me.
Correct.

SpaceX has been building literally years of experience and success and Blue Origin has had 0 (zero) results.

Perhaps in some distant future there will be a swing but SpaceX has already won LEO delivery systems for cargo and humans, is at the forefront for heavy lift service, has a reasonable chance to win the contract for Lunar landing and ascent vehicles, and will probably be involved in Mars missions.

Blue may amount to something but SpaceX will already be in the history books as the first fully commercial provider for most, if not all, of the important missions of the 21st century.

Regrets to cue ball...

Since Bezos owns Blue Origin and I have a relative working for SpaceX, it’s an easy choice for who I would support.

Aerojet-Rocketdyne and Orbital ATK are the only manufacturers of solid rocket boosters...and there’s pretty much no way to get out of low earth orbit without those puppies.
Look at all those solid rocket boosters!

Touché, I’m always wrong with space talk. I’m such a non-nerd. Pretty sure I heard a test fire today...unless that was Rolls running an engine up.

So far I'd say SpaceX is VHS and Blue Origin is BetaMax.

Not sure about this: BetaMax was actually better quality, and Sony failed in getting them adopted over VHS which I believe was cheaper.

SpaceX is so far better and cheaper than blue origin, but I am glad to see that there are multiple companies progressing with viable programs.

That is like an actual Urban Myth. If you want to look at only one single criteria 250 vs. 240 lines.

VHS really blew Betamax away.

New Glenn looks prettier than Starship, Starship will probably win the war though.

This is not even worth discussing until Blue Origin puts something in orbit. SpaceX is miles ahead of Blue.
