Everyone in this thread doesn't notice that the Youtube link OP posted is from April 11th. It clearly says "Arabsat - 6A" on the bottom. Arabsat-6A was launched on April 11th. SpaceX's next launch is resupply to the ISS, not satellite lift.

Today's launch window was about 4 AM this morning and was scrubbed. They will try again tomorrow about 4 AM.

The launch is not a Heavy launch. Just Falcon 9.

ETA: I do appreciate OP's excitement about launches, though. They're fricking awesome.

yea, I want to apologize. Sorry folks.

My YouTube came up as "LIVE Event" and it was three minutes out. Sorry for not confirming,

Yes. What I saw looked sort of edited well with the different cameras. I thought they were just really good at the video production

Happened to me yesterday. This streamer “live” streams previous launches as if they were happening now. The Falcon Heavy launch for today was scrapped.

As a former ISS flight controller, astronaut instructor, and Space Shuttle engineer... I feel pretty bad about my launch misdirection.

lots of talk on r/space about the 'fake' live events. There will be plenty of chatter though when we have another real Heavy Falcon launch!

When Elon broadcasts as the first man on Mars, they will all suck it.

It's because they had so many failures before they had the first successful landing in April. I think it's great. It's saying we believe in what we're doing. Have perspective unless you obviously don't follow this endeavor.

Oh I didn't know that, I assumed it was some social media thing. I guess I just prefer the patriotic NASA codenames ie Liberty Bell, Freedom 7,Columbia and Eagle, etc. and the Shuttle SRB recovery vessels Liberty Star and Freedom Star

They launched early this AM.

Central booster landed successfully on the drone ship.

Landing of booster starts at about 23:20 in the video link provided.

Very cool live thermal video of booster landing as well.

Elon owns NASA again

SpaceX names their landing drones after ships and things found in sci-fi novels written by a novelist whose name escapes me at the moment.
