I flew with SWA this weekend and they allowed onboard snacks and "partial drink menu". They allowed you to choose from coke, sprite, diet coke and water. They said and I kid you not "if you continue to be good and order your drinks through your mask or write it down we will allow the menu to expand to include coffee and alcohol". I'm so glad they kept me safe from the alcohol and coffee.

Never flown on SouthWest. Was alcohol normally on the house, or did you have to pay if you weren't a status member and/or in the po folks class like the other big carriers?

I hate stuff like this, because it just makes people reject any sort of good sense about Covid. When companies/government continually ask asinine stuff that doesn't logically track, when they actually find something that helps (washing hands) people just think it's all bullshite.

You should express your thoughts to SWA and let them know you won't be flying with them again if it bothers you. Companies make decisions based on those customer service studies.

Stop being so cheap and American or Delta. If you fly budget airlines you can expect to be treated like a child.

Are these airlines doing things differently with onboard service?

I can 1,000 percent see one of the gay SW flight attendants saying exactly this.

American is the worst of the non-budget airlines.

Jam up together waiting to get on the skybus and sit shoulder to shoulder. But thanfully they keep you safe by withholding coffee and $7 beer

Good for you. I fly whatever is the best airline that will get me there, when I want to go, at a price that is somewhat reasonable and directly if possible.

Surprised they arent getting alcohol availability back ASAP. Markup on that is like 1000%

$7 Miller Lite that costs them 50-75 cents

The one round trip I had on SW alcohol could be your one free drink.

Flew Delta from Atlanta to Orlando last week for work. They didn’t serve alcohol even to 1st class. I was on the wing but I had two colleagues get upgraded to 1st class. They had the choice of water and soda.
