Looked like another bad band coming through in the next hour or so, right? It looked like it slacked off in the afternoon...but I don't know shite from shinola so don't listen to me.

The event is over for Baton Rouge. Time to clean up and listen to Bill Profita's wife on WJBO until the power comes back on.

In New Orleans?

Doesn't appear to be the case for me, looks like we are dodging all of the really bad stuff, but we will see.

At least the discrete cells with long track tornadoes ahead of the QLCS didn’t materialize

But the QCLS is no joke down south. Just rain and thunder here but we have gotten 5-7 inches of rain so far and falling for up to 7 more. Bad news in the flatlands

Tornado trying to form within the main line just south of Slidell and south of the current warning

ETA: And the tornado warning pops up 30 seconds later

First time I’ve ever pulled over for safety. Was driving interstate through Slidell about 20 min ago and was watching transformers blow up and sparks fly on the side of the interstate. Right after, I was getting tornado alerts on my phone
