Baton Rouge feels like the Red Sea sometimes where all the worst weather goes west, east, north, and south. Seems like that happens a lot. Knock on wood for today.

The Indian Mounds is an ancient Native American weather control device. I’m not even bullshitting, it’s why the storms always break just before BR and surrounding areas still catch hell.

No reason schools shouldn’t be open today.

My sister is pissed that school was not canceled in Calcasieu parish. Every surrounding parish canceled but not us. I’m secretly laughing even though they probably should have. Buses were running during a tornado watch.

It should have been. Multiple tornados touched down when you had buses with kids on the road. Every parish in South LA canceled but CPSB. When you’re all alone on an island, it might prudent to take a second look. Mine go to private school and they delayed the start until 10:00 am.

Severe thunderstorm warnings for the line of storms calling for straight line wind gusts up to 70 mph. Stay safe, folks.

There’s a school closings thread you can discuss this in. No one here can do anything about school closings.

Hubbard left wafb
She got married and is expecting a baby
That job is not conducive to raising a kid
Probably like all the other reporters that leave and take PR jobs that provide more flexibility
