A little surprised to see sleet in BR and this early. Still not sold you guys get into snow with the suspected warm air just above the surface.

Really want to see the LIX sounding for this evening to see just how extended the warm nose is for the northshore and by extension BR.

What does sleet at 44 degrees mean?
Really cold layer somewhere?

It is great seeing you this excited. I wouldn't mind a little snow my way, but it isn't likely this time.

Radar would suggest some mixed precip in Midcity and just rain in SBR.

If you have Radarscope or something to access dual-pol products, the correlation coefficient is useful today. All red suggests just one type of precip, in this case probably rain. Over a lot of BR I'm seeing lower values (greens and yellows) which would be different shapes and mean some melting. In other words, it's seeing a mixture of sleet and rain.

The above surface is under freezing or there's some dry air that's letting evaporation happen and providing some cooling to refreeze some of it.

That warm right now does not suggest the odds are good for snow tonight though.
