How would this local EMS met get his info/warnings out?
We use to have this thing called radio, you tuned into it.

I get it but you can't force people to tune into it
And audio will never be as good at getting a point across like you can visually with a radar....
For better or worse the weather community/NWS has decided it has a responsibility to get warnings to people who may or may not make choices that make them difficult to reach. As long as that is the case considerations such as this will be made

True I guess, they sell bad weather events now like it's the superbowl and most people have short attention spans and are addicted to drama. Or American Idol, or...

Well, I hope you are with good neighbors, and all the people at the storm pit are cool.
That was another thing about that day, it was the only time I ever saw certain people talking together.

Someone is asleep at the wheel at NWS
They need to expand the watch eastward too. Talk about dropping the ball here

The Reinzi storm looks way better than the guntown storm. Need to get a warning on that one.
Posted on 3/1/23 at 7:35 pm to auggie
Things are getting cranked up in NE Mississippi and NW Alabama.
Posted on 3/1/23 at 7:35 pm to deltaland
Still haven’t warned it. Alabama put out a warning east of state line for it and MS is like frick those folks in Iuka
Posted on 3/1/23 at 7:36 pm to deltaland
Yeah, NWS Huntsville has already warned for parts of Colbert and Lauderdale counties in Alabama for that northern storm.
Posted on 3/1/23 at 7:36 pm to Lsuhoohoo
Interesting, Huntsville had put a warning out ahead of it in their coverage area but Memphis hasn't warned it.

Two very very mature SCells right next to each other in MS. One is warned and the other is not?
