He also discounts the fact that with so much more development in the country now damage tends to be worst. Instead of all farm fields and woods there is a lot more infrastructure to be impacted by essentially the same yearly weather.

No it's not dumbass. You hear more about it because more areas are now residential thus more people are affected. Same shite as hurricanes on the gulf coast and Wildfires in CA.

Never said they haven't been happening forever, just saying they've gotten more frequent and violent.

Last night was crazy. On KATV in NEA the main whether guy at one point said “guys, I’ve never had to say this before, but if you are watching this channel, you’re under a severe tornado warning.”

And the map was so cluttered with pink and red polygons that it was indecipherable.

Same people were saying this crap after the 2005 hurricane season. Wasn’t true then and this crap with tornadoes being more frequent and violent is not true now.

No it isn't, they are just covered, even the small ones, with greater frequency thanks to sensationalist coverage/ social media.

They’ve haven’t.

More tornadoes are being reported due to improvements in radar technology and coverage and as was mentioned farms are being converted to residential so storms that were never seen or mentioned are now impacting people.

I'm inclined to believe you and others, but what data are yall referencing when claiming the strength and frequencies of hurricanes and tornados have not increased as much as those who would benefit from sensationalizing such a thing would have you believe?

Mississippi River will definitely be higher soon down here from all the rain in the midsection of the US. There's no water in the Morganza Spillway yet but I think that's gonna change soon

Then wouldn’t everyone be better off if you go hang out with them?
