I can't imagine how much it sucks for these kids to miss out on some of the most memorable events in their young lives.

I can't imagine being a junior or senior in high school during all this. Especially a senior.

They missed all the fun stuff for seniors at the end of the year, hanging out with people you'll never hang out with again for the last time, graduation, senior trip, etc. And then your first two semesters of college were all fricked up as well.

Those are two of the best years of your entire life.

nothing really...increase in capacities..thats about it. we were already in Phase 3 back in Sept/Oct....not much has changed

I agree, and from all the restaurant's I've been eating at the capacities in most of them were more that mandated I can promise you.

Noticed very little difference in the artificial phase changes here in Baton Rouge since Sept.

The Louisiana Department of Health reports 770 #COVID19 cases reported to the state since March 1, 2021. The total number of cases reported to the state is 431,271.

Of these cases, 536 are confirmed cases and 234 are probable cases.

Because of the daily removal of newly identified duplicates and out of state cases, the new case increase may not match the difference between today’s and yesterday's total case count.

This
I had a senior last year and it sucked with how much we missed out on.

It is 20 times worse for this class. They have missed the last three months of their junior year, all the summer senior things or sports activities they used to do, no homecoming, no pep rally's. NOTHING. I feel so bad for mine. She hates school and this is the kid that was involved in so much. And yesterday they sent an email saying NO PROM. And that they are trying to figure out what to do for their senior mass and graduation because they cant allow that many people. This is Edwards fault....Casinos can be at 75% but seniors from high school cant even have their family their to watch them walk across the stage to receive something they worked hgard for for 4 years.

I know we were told this weekend at a convention of all the fairs and festivals in LA that they will start allowing fairs and festivals again but with restrictions

Some examples thry gave was guests must sit to eat, mask wearing of course and making sure there is enough space for each person to social distance.

At this point us organizers of these events will take want we can get.

There are outdoor music venues operating 100% as normal right now. Why would they put restrictions on a festival which is even more spread out?

There is a 0% chance I'm going to an outdoor event and wearing a mask. And I imagine a lot of people feel the same. I'd rather miss my favorite festivals than do that.

I can "fest" in my own backyard next to the crawfish pot, or at the various outdoor music venues.
