I got to thinking....how does the left treat C. Thomas Howell from this movie? He obviously was in blackface, but the movie is about a guy who fakes his race to get into Harvard, but then realizes racism is real. In the end it is an anti-racism movie. How does the left handle this conundrum???

Why didnt he just use his white privilege to get into college? He obviously wanted to steal an opportunity from a black person.

I never understood the appeal of Ray Chon Dong. She was just not that great looking.

How about The Toy with Richard Pryor where a rich white man hires a black guy to be a toy for his kid to play with?

Actually, it was sold to audiences as the rich white southern guy buying his kid a black man.

That movie was filmed in Baton Rouge, btw.

The confederate flag in the background of all the scenes was classic.

Regardless of whether or not he became woke, that movie may have defined White Privilege.

Soul Man trailer (on YouTube)

I went in blind, and took a black woman to see this movie. When we were walking out, I felt like everyone assumed she and I were thinking, "This is our movie."
