Wife's small business stayed open the whole time. I stayed working and received a promotion last year. This year my work still gave everyone a bonus and merit raise without cutting back on any benefits. Refinanced my house, bought a new truck, and paid off my student loans.

Did a 23&me and AncestryDNA which allowed me to connect with my biological father. Already spoke with a half sibling and things are going great so far.

Other than covid hitting and hurting a lot of people, Trump losing reelection, things have been good for me. We'll see how this year plays out.

I dunno Lew - sorry it happened.

and yes to the earlier question - US pounds lol.

the wife and I decided to get healthier - I've dropped 93 and she is down about 72 as well. haven't been this weight and size since probly 1998 or so. it is amazing how much better i feel, and my clothes don't consist of baggy shirts, sweats and baggy shorts.

I made more money, but I would trade that in a heartbeat for some sense of normalcy.

the biggest thing is lifestyle change.

we cut out all fast food, all fried foods, no Candy, no Soda, no added sugars of any kinds. no high carb foods and veggies - like corn, potato's and carrots.

portioned servings of 3 Veggies, and 5 to 7 ounces of lean proteins a day - depending on which we choose dictates the amount of it we get.

just joined a Gym, but the weight loss I have had was without the ym - just walking and hiking.

doing it allowed us to basically be in a caloric deficit each day, which made us burn fat. the dietary change was part of a health and wellness program we started, and the result speak for themselves

I bought a house and my other son came to live with me and I got a promotion at my job. While 2020 sucked major peen I at least had those good things happen to me. Sometimes we just have to sit back and look at the whole picture and appreciate all the good things regardless of how small they are.

I picked up bird/wildlife photography, and it has been one of the best, most rewarding decisions of my life.

I got out of a relationship that I knew deep down that I needed to get out of.

Got a raise.

I realized I hate my job because we have incompetent employees that couldn't handle working from home. I'm still here, but that's about all I got.

I taught myself to drink black coffee and like it. It took a solid 5 months of forcing myself to drink it every day and experimenting with different brands, techniques, and mugs to go from gagging when I took a sip to genuinely looking forward to/appreciating the taste of coffee. It is so awesome to be able to go anywhere and just ask for black coffee and enjoy it.

Also...played hundreds of games of chess and improved those skills. Permanently deleted Facebook and Instagram, which was a great decision. 10/10 would recommend.
