More or less this. The key to being an OT baller is to have serious coin, family land, timber, cattle, and oil. But to live a simple life where no one really knows your status. That way, you don't get constantly harassed by the poors.

The only people who really know your true status are OT10s. Because you can't hide money from a gold digger.

I'm not rich at all. The wife and I make an upper middle class living but I'm cheap as hell too
