Someone went over the levee again at Brightside: Update

During the investigation, detectives learned the driver of a 2020 Honda Accord, who was identified as Lem Washington, 44, was killed.

Washington was headed west on Brightside Drive at a high rate of speed when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Brightside and River Road. Washington exited the roadway and traveled to the top of the levee, which caused his car to be airborne. The Accord reached the bottom of the levee and proceeded to flip and land on the roof.

Police said Washington was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash but was pronounced dead at the scene. It is believed that the crash happened between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m.

Feels like this happens kind of often. People leave the bars drunk and plow through river road and go all Dukes of Hazzard.

Remember a 4x4 flying over in 2006 with someone dying.
