Think about what you're describing - you left a big object that's worth a lot of money in a public restroom. As you walked out of the airport with all of your SJW/richie merchandise, one of two things happened:
- someone walked in and saw the guitar but didn't see a person; that person probably walked out and looked for someone close by that resembled a guitar player, to see if he could say 'hey did you leave something in the restroom?' After some time and not finding a prospective owner, the guy probably picked it up and left, and rightfully assumed the former owner of the guitar (you) didn't care about it or intentionally left it as some sort of holiday karmic gift.
or
- someone saw it and thought it could possibly be an explosive and contacted security who came in and likely said, 'no, probably an idiot that just forgot it' and they probably opened it, saw it was not an explosive, one them then grabbed it left.
Martins are great guitars and it sucks for you but you have to eat this one. You can't blame anyone but yourself on this one.
