The deep state's alliance is with whoever is in power - they usually are who get people elected, and they own most of the politicians in office at the federal level. Right now, they are almost exclusively behind Democrats. They have been since the George W Bush era. And that's not because of their insane, progressive politics. It's because that's who they own and can control, and that's who isn't concerned with totalitarianism infiltrating their party.

One day (long after Trump grows old and passes on and his influence weakens) they'll be behind Republicans again.

They weren't going to align with outsiders like Sanders had he been elected, and they actively worked to undermine Trump while he was in office and are trying to prevent him from taking office now. Trump wasn't supposed to win in 2016. Hillary was supposed to be in office.

This is not an "republican vs democrat" issue. It only looks like that because the corrupt ruling class and coastal elites are all in on Democrats right now. Had Sanders won and resisted selling out to ruling class interests, they'd all be aligned with the Republican party now and the FBI would be harassing a bunch of socialists in Vermont and New York instead of a a bunch of classical liberals and populists in Florida.

The Biden Admin is purposefully completely ignoring the border and letting it go unfettered. Texas is dealing with a massive Humanitarian Crisis unlike they have ever seen, and you have the Press Secretary and The Vice President/Immigration Czar going on national TV saying nothing is wrong and the border is secure.

Sometimes political theater is NEEDED. Its what Democrats do so damn well and do daily, constantly.

Claiming that sending illegal immigrants to SANCTUARY CITIES is "cruel" is beyond absurd.

It highlights the total and abject hypocrisy when they (and by extension, you) complain about a mere trickle when Texas and Arizona are getting a massive flood.
