Throwin an axe is as random as kicking a cone and starting a bar around it
What a romantic way to look at darts and bowling .
And yes. Throwing axes is random, like kicking a cone. It's not like humans have been doing it for a long time or anything...
"I just can't wrap my mind around why people would want to throw axes when we already have dart woven into the fabric of society?!"
I don't know. Maybe it is because people enjoy an added element of perceived danger (it's not really dangerous), and find throwing a semi-combat weapon thrilling? Like archery or shooting targets.
Here I am defending axe throwing, and I've only done it once and found the experience overpriced.

The power of the OT. Arguing for things and you have no idea why

Probably for soy boys who don’t know how to throw the chain and never did an actual day of work in their lives.
I've never been to one, but I've been to several places with one next door and most of the people I saw going in there were definitely bros, not soys. I feel like it was a parade of lifted trucks and graphic T-Shirts (mostly Affliction and American Fighter) going in to show off their gym gains for all the other bros and see how hard they can throw an axe before heading down to Washington Ave to slay tang.

Went with a group of friends. We had fun. Played couples games like who could get the highest score with 10 throws and a few games of 21.
Something fun to do before going out to eat.

Where else are you going to practice before appearing on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson
