I’ve been taking them back to Walmart just bc I can’t stand having it in my yard.
I picture you living at the top of a tall hill and riding in the buggy the whole way down.

Mount a camera on your house?

You could start selling them as luxury mobile homes

Call Walmart and tell them to come pick up their cart. These days, they have cameras on their lot to very clearly video tape whoever is stealing their carts. No reason for them to do anything about it if you are bringing them back.

Could be worse. I have replaced my mailbox 4 times in 5 years. (I live on a curve in a neighborhood) The last one I had a machine shop make one out of tube steel and it has aluminum bolts attaching it to the concrete slab at the bottom. Mail box is a steel one that is supossed to be indestructable.
A few weeks ago it was hit again and I just had to replace the 4 bolts.

Shopping carts aren't cheap, I bet you could make some money off this.

This is the time of year when migratory shopping carts are headed back to Central and South America to spend the winter. Sometimes they just run out of axle grease and can't make it any further. You've probably come across a few of these, their wheels wobble in the store and you may go back and get a different cart. These carts need your help, not your scorn. Look through this guide and if you can figure out their identification then please contact their embassy and get some help for them.

it must be either late at night when I’m asleep or when I’m not home.
There is an easy way to tell. If you go to bed and it is not there, and wake up and it is, it is happening while you sleep.
If you leave your house and it is not there, then return and it is, it is definitely being done while you are gone.
Begin charting which it is, noting date and possible hours it is occurring, then look for a pattern. Once a pattern is established and you have the day and time down, freshen up your ghillie suit and eliminate the problem.
