Do you know how ridiculous this sounds? It may not help an everyday competition shooter but an average joe who rarely shoots and is in a high stress situation like defending his home, a laser absolutely helps

I've got bad news for you - that cat has been out of the bag for a long time and it's never going back in it.
You'll get downvotes to oblivion, but I'm not sure how someone could argue against the fact that gun access in this country is incredibly plentiful.
I'm not arguing whether that's a good thing or not, just that it's a fact.

No offense. But these statements are breathtakingly ignorant. Firearms were FAR easier to get in the 60’s. You could walk into any general store or a even Sears & Roebuck and buy one for next to nothing. You could even mail order them from catalogs. And the words “background check” hadn’t even been thought of then.
