Ok. Like I've said I'm cool with anyone's choice. I'm not on this earth to judge.

I apologize for being rude, but it seems as though you are blatantly disregarding what I am writing because you don't think I agree with you. In reality, we are having separate arguments.

You made a sassy comment about the rate at which babies were born so I fired back, and based on your opening comments about "child molestors" being the main source of pro-life rhetoric, I made the leap that you may be a bit narrow-minded and could shoulder a little heat yourself.

Yeah, well for everyone else, we have been seeing what life was about since our first human interaction, so some of our opinions on society are more developed than what we were told to think, or disagreeing with what we were told to think.

Right on... I'm the same.

What about in-vitro? Should we open this can of worms with the pro lifers?

I don't understand why it isn't just widely accepted as being simultaneously morally reprehensible as well as a necessary evil.

Each side has to stake their claim to it being exclusively either morally reprehensible or an absolute necessity, but with no spillover at all.

Tell a feminist that abortion is morally repugnant and they'll picket your business.

Tell a bunch of Catholics abortion is necessary in the modern world and they'll picket your business.

I think people hide behind certain things to make their point. I have a difference in opinion that's ok with me.

So? What's your point? There is no such thing. No such law exists.

Cops are cops, not lawyers or DA's. Just because he allegedly wrote something on a ticket doesn't make it factual. It is meaningless.

Thats why I said FYI, stated what happened, and left no further commentary. I have no point, I was just sharing it with the class because it is a funny story.

How do you view another woman that has had an abortion? Does it change your view of them?

No, I'm just not going to sit here and let you pass off some bizarre story as a way of reinforcing your agenda.

Call me unpleasant all you want but there is no such thing as getting a ticket for attempted suicide. Fact.

What I don't understand is why these people are drinking the faucet water. Baton Rouge has the second cleanest water in the country and i don't drink it. People go to Mexico and avoid the drinking water. It's not that difficult.
A 30 pack of waters from walmart is $3. Go buy some frickin water from walmart and quit drinking the arse water out of your faucet.

Environmental Engineer here. The water from those bottles are actually unregulated and you are poisoning yourself and your wife with BPA and other plastic chemicals.

Not at all, why should it. It none of my business what she needed to do. And most women don't talk about things to other women which blows my mind. Not just about abortion but all types of stuff. I have many friends who hide the fact that they have endmyrious to other women because they feel judged about complaining about their ovaries. Many don't talk about miscarriage. it may help someone.

I find relativism to be a fairly dangerous way of thinking.

What better argument could you have for the acceptance of abortion than these thoughts you just shared?

Because I clearly just described the current climate as I see it. Would your scenario make it worse, maybe, but you can't make water boil more if it is already boiling. My original point was simply to challenge the tired argument about when life begins. Like you said(or maybe it was StickyFingaz or the Barf Man), the line is arbitrary. If we look beyond that line, or challenge other that don't currently, we can see that there is a larger reason behind why this is such a hot topic in our society. Why else would grown men care at all about women they don't know going to an abortion clinic if not for its affect on society, rather than themselves personally.

For the last time, we never disagreed other than how you chose to enter the thread; I see now that you were trying to set up your stance - I disagree with how you went about it. I think our opinions are probably more aligned than anyone elses' in this thread but you thought you were having a different argument to begin with.

If you support abortion, you support individuals in our society deciding who is worthy of joining the society (worthy might not be the best word, but lets go with it). If you do support these judgements being made pre-birth, what changes so much after that person has been issued a SS# and proves to not be a functioning member of society?

I really don't believe I gave an indication on whether or not I accept abortion...

Can you admit that maybe you didn't take the time to figure out what my position is?

The water that just switched a few years ago? I hate how you think you are so holistic and all-natural but seriously undereducated. Stop reading Food Babe and start reading peer-reviewed data.
