Well it's Mardi Gras. Most people are looking up at the floats trying to catch stuff.

I'm still wonder how a float hits people standing behind a guard rail, sidewalk, or standing in the proper place like most of the other people at the parades?

Get ready. Barricades will happen everywhere. It’s odd because in some parts they do have them. But not everywhere.

Exactly my point. How is this a tandem float issue? If you don’t want people getting RAN OVER, use a fricking barricade.
