“Burn it down is just a metaphor”

It’s a long rant. Karen went to town. Apologies in advance:
“I don’t really want to post this on my business page but in light of recent massive upset I feel the need to share...
It has come to my attention that I have offended some people with a comment I made on my own personal facebook page in a discussion with a friend. In that discussion, I employed the hashtag: “#BurnItDown” while referring to the real and justified anger and pain that the black community is feeling at the moment. This hashtag, for those who care to research, is used as a slogan of support, like #BlackLivesMatter or #JusticeforGeorgeFloyd, and refers to “burning down” the historic system of racism and injustice towards our black brothers and sisters in this country, while simultaneously advocating for the creation of a more just, fair, and loving society.
However, this discussion was screen shot by a known cyberstalker with a criminal history of harassment--who took my words out of context, added his own personal spin and implored his contacts to share widely on social media. As a result, I am now receiving an overwhelming amount of violent threats against my person and my restaurant. I am genuinely scared for myself and my family. This is also not the first time this has happened. As he said in his post, several years back I stated that BLACK LIVES MATTER and became a target for his rage and harassment.
Like last time, I do not understand why someone would equate my support for BLM with any kind of disrespect for our police. As a proud business owner in Covington for almost 20 years, the police in this community--in addition to the mayor, the parish president, and all of my restaurant’s beloved and loyal employees and clientele, know that we love, support, and respect our law enforcement officers. Respect and fair treatment of black people does not equate to disdain for the police. Further, I do not condone or advocate violence of any kind whatsoever. To make it seem like I condone the destruction of property is not just wrong, but disingenuous.
I feel the need to clarify my support for Black Lives Matter because I’ve received a lot of phone calls and messages from people that are appalled or angry. My statement that “black people built this country and have a right to burn it down” is a metaphor for the protest and tearing down old systems-- the inherent injustices that are perpetrated upon our brothers and sisters of color. I think this language offended people and without an explanation or someone actually knowing me, I can see that. However, it is simply a METAPHOR for the need to build a MORE FAIR AND JUST SOCIETY.”

One of my favorite comments from a dude named Alfred Blossman (no idea if he is in the covington Blossman Family):
“Start planning your next venture. I recommend you open in a liberal shithole city. You’re done here.”
Hahahaha.

Same lady who has berated other restaurants in the area for staying open during covid quarantine. Now, she advocates for rioting, in large groups.
Hypocrite.
Bye, Felicia.

Hopefully she’s almost out of money due to not opening and this will kill her business.
I wonder how many tears have rolled down those chunky little cheeks today once reality set in with what she did.

She is a lying, cowardly c u n t. Before any hashtag, she talked about how people are mad at black people for burning stuff down and she said they have "every right to burn it to the ground!" She messed with the hornet's nest and is going to have to deal with it now. #stupidbitch

Can you imagine what went through her head when she first realized there would be backlash? People like her are used to being able to spout off their opinions without fear of any repercussions.
You would especially think that being a long time business owner she would realize that after all the virus bullshite she needs to do everything in her power to bring in customers.
Welp...

Covington residents are giving me some hope for calling her out BS.

How I predict things will go...
Another attempt at an apology, followed shortly by calling everyone in St. Tammany racist, white supremacists.
It will be glorious.
