Saints blow the game with a missed tackle and he says “This is the worst moment of my life.” How great must his life be that a team playing a game losing that he is not even a part of is the absolute low point in his life? That is some fantastic stuff. I’d love to have that kind of low moment as mine tend to be things like children passing away too young—oh and Popeyes being out of chicken.

In before I’ve seen way worse moments in the quad.

Don’t bring that crap over here. I left Saints Talk after the game to avoid this garbage

Yea - over the top. But he's likely pretty shitfaced right now.

If we can be ecstatic when our teams win, we can be sad when they lose.

He was probably over the top, but that was a crushing end to that game. Combined with alcohol, no one is thinking clearly after that.

It’s more a commentary on the amazing state of one mans life than a saints football discussion. Seemed more OT. Sorry for making you click on this thread to tell me to take it somewhere else. Guess this is the low moment for you.

Everything someone say after a big loss is rational and there's definitely never any hyperbole

I wish my life was so fortunate for that to be my worst moment

Gave me a chance to think about Pop Rouge (RIP). He always told me that the Saints would give you hope only to take it away.

Somewhere, I like to think he is having a little chuckle.

Perspective.

I’ve told this story before but I’ll tell it again.

Right after my daughter was born I went to work one morning and got to the office about 7:15. My boss stopped me on my way in to tell me he was concerned about the number of hours I was putting in and I needed to make sure I was at work for 7. I had left at 6:30pm the previous night and I had a month and a half old at home. Later that day i got a phone call from my wife telling me her boss called her and let her go two weeks before she was supposed to go back to work from Maternity leave. My daughter was on my wife’s insurance and we were most definitely not in a position to lose her insurance and income. A month later I was paying almost a grand a month for their coverage.

So I left work that day to drive home trying to figure out what I was going to do with my young family without good insurance and keep up appearances at the event we were going to that night.

The date? 1/9/2012.

I was upset for days. My life was in the toilet exacerbated by the pathetic excuse of a football game I had just watched. Things got a lot worse before they got better for us. But that was the last time I ever got upset about a football game.

Life can be shitty. You can suddenly find yourself with a newborn hoping she doesn’t get sick because you’ve had to get shitty insurance because you have a shitty job making shitty money you were completely unprepared for.

Football is supposed to be fun and entertaining. That’s why I hated the kneeling. I watch football to enjoy being a fan and be entertained. I don’t care about your political messages. I don’t care about your statements unless it’s being awesome to kids.

Consider yourself blessed my friend. So many terrible things in the world that it’s hard to put football games up that high for me.
