I know it may be hard for you to comprehend, but turning our attention to a solar a eclipse for a little while doesn’t negate our ability to pay attention to other things. Maybe for you it does. I know there lots of people who can’t multitask in this country. Solar eclipses have always garnered a lot of press. Because it’s fricking cool and rare. We don’t always have to be watching out for people trying to get one over on us. Lighten up dork.

Question...
I know I need to wear my eclipse glasses if I'm looking at the thing... but is it safe to look at a picture or video of the eclipse without them, or do I need to wear them then as well?
Ok... I'll see myself out now.

I saw this in 2017. It was pretty awesome, but all the insane hype and government freakouts had me book a route to Florida to get out of the way of this. Arkansas DOT posted this morning of their "eclipse emergency communications center". Absolutely ridiculous.

Arkansas is under a state of emergency

My son asked me if I could explain the eclipse.
I said, no sun.

About 15% coverage right now. Pretty sunny just east of Dallas.
