I didn't erase shite. In fact my last name loosely translates to poor people who live on rocks. Guess whose family didn't own slaves and can be proud to be white.

I think pride in something so broad as "being white" is pretty dumb, frankly. Same may apply to being black but you can decide that.

A lot of truth in those statements. I will say, though, that the original intent of "black pride" was to offset decades of society implying and even directly saying that being black meant being inferior simply by virtue of being black.
I do not know if it is time for people to move on from all that but it does seem that indoctrinating "racial pride" into our children, regardless of race, is a sure path to eventual racism or at least racial elitism even if that is not the intent.
