Good God....this is like the quintessential OT thread. It's almost daily:

1. Someone posts a story of video of black people doing something (50% of which are horseshite)

2. One (or more, usually) of the first replies is the sarcastic "but..but...only whites are racist!"

3. Some brave soul tries to take a different side, gets down voted into oblivion

4. Someone posts the black on white crime statistics.

5. VetteGuy reminds us he's upholding his Jamaica boycott.

I actually have to look at the dates of some of these to make sure it wasn't bumped from 3 months ago.

I must be in the minority. I'm a liberal (well, I'm a southern liberal, west coast moderate) that's seem racism on all sides of the spectrum, especially in Louisiana.

I have a position of authority on construction projects(my favorite racist superintendent comment was "if we could get them to leave, I could live without LSU football"). But I used to also drum with a couple Mardi Gras Indian tribes. Being the only white drummer in a black Nola tradition, it wasn't surprising.

If it was an event like Super Sunday or St Joseph's Night, I'd often get challenged by entire tribe's drummers. Just me vs 5-6 guys in a kind of drum off. But that usually ended with daps or a hug. But there were also times where the chief would say not to come, because another tribe heard white people were coming, and they were gonna bring guns. But usually I'd just hear things like "I didn't know white boys could drum like that."
